I was born and raised in Wilmington, NC in a family of 6. After graduating from New Hanover High School in 2000, I went to East Carolina University for four years where I graduated with a degree in Elementary Education. I didn't realize how much I loved Wilmington until I left, so after graduation, I moved back here to start my career. I started teaching third grade at Gregory School of Science, Math, and Technology. While teaching at Gregory, I started working on my masters degree in Instructional Technology from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. I graduated with that degree in May 2010 and then began working at Trask Middle School as the Instructional Technology Facilitator in October 2010. I got married in October 2025 and enjoy spending time with my husband, reading, and going to the beach.
