About Me
Chattle house
It has been my pleasure and privilege to serve as the Speech Language Pathologist at Snipes Academy of Arts and Design since 2005. I provide speech and language therapy services to children whose communication disorders are negatively impacting their education. Communication disorders can potentially negatively impact a child’s education in their academic and social functioning. Therapy can be provided through pull out services, in the classroom, through consultative services and collaboratively with a variety of school staff including: general education teachers, special education teachers, physical therapists and occupational therapists. Some of my responsibilities include: conducting hearing screenings, speech language evaluations, serving as a member of the EC team and other school committees. I also serve as a resource regarding speech and language disorders. I also implement the pragmatic language component of the autism curriculum in our school collaboratively with the OT. I have previously provided services in nursing homes and have served as an adjunct clinical supervisor at my Alma Mater, South Carolina State University.
