About Me

 Hi all! I'm Kitt Starnes, Isaac Bear's 10th grade Social Studies teacher! I was born and raised in Charlotte, NC and moved to Wilmington ten years ago.  I went to North Carolina State University (Go Pack!) where I majored in Political Science and Spanish teacher education and minored in Italian Studies.  I graduated again from NC State in December 2015 with my Master's degree in Education.

This is my 16th year of teaching, my 11th year at Isaac Bear and my 2nd year teaching Social Studies! I teach American History and Civics and help advise Student Government, Debate Club and WEE.  I couldn't be more thrilled to be teaching the most creative and eager students and working with the most incredible group of teachers.  Go Bearhawks!
