My name is Dayna Hibbetts. I grew up on the small island of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina. I attended Appalachian State University to pursue a path into psychology. I missed the beach so much, that I moved to Wilmington, NC in 1999, and continued my adventure at UNCW. I graduated from UNCW with a BA in Psychology. I started working one-on-one with young children in social areas and those who were developmentally delayed in academics. I then fell in love with early childhood development, and in 2006 I went back to get my Teaching License for early childhood education.
This is my 16th year working in early childhood education, and my 14th year at Mary Washington Howe Pre-K. I am SO excited to be working here and to be working with your children. I am always open for ideas, thoughts and suggestions. I value communication very much! We are a team in your child’s education!
Hello! My name is Leslie Reyes. I was born and raised in West New York, NJ. I moved to Wilmington 14 years ago. I graduated from Cape Fear Community College with my Associates in Arts and then transferred to UNCW to major in Elementary Ed. I discovered my passion for children working at an elementary school as a Front Office Receptionist. I am excited to start this new journey in PreK this year! I’m certain this experience will be a rewarding one, and I’m ready to take on the challenges that come with teaching and care for young children.
