NHCS School Counseling Mission

The mission of the New Hanover County School Counseling Program is to ensure that every student has access to the support necessary to reach their personal, academic and career goals by intentional impact actions that support their success.

Following NHCS Board Policy 3610, the school counseling program aims to improve student performance by implementing strategies that maximize learning and provide a foundation for future success. We adhere to the ASCA National Model, providing a comprehensive, data-informed program that promotes equity and access for all students.
