Ms. Dunsmore has been teaching dance in the public school system for five years. She began her education career at North Brunswick High School where she taught all levels of dance and coached the dance team. Now Ms. Dunsmore is teaching full time at Hoggard High School and began coaching the dance team this past year. Ms. Dunsmore graduated from East Carolina University as a NC Teaching Fellows Scholarship recipient and upon her graduation in 2015 was awarded the honor of Outstanding Senior in Dance Education. At East Carolina she was trained in ballet, modern, and jazz and also took class with dance artists from professional companies including Koresh Dance Company, Joe-Joe Grooves, River North Dance Chicago, Lauren Edson, and others. In addition to her work in the school system Ms. Dunsmore also teaches various styles of dance at Evolution Dance Complex, a local dance studio, and regularly performs in dance shows such as the Wilmington Dance Festival, Art Sensation, and Dance-a-Lorus. She has also been teaching Barre Fusion since August and recently became Barre Certified through Barre Above's training program. She is a native of south eastern North Carolina and enjoys spending time at the beach, on the boat, or with family.
