Students in Advanced Art will work independently on the AP portfolio requirements to complete 8 autonomous works of art that demonstrate their understanding of a sustained investigation through design in 2D while applying knowledge and skill of various media.
If a student is taking Advanced Art and does not wish to pursue AP in the future, they are required to work on design problems assigned by me.
Advanced (Honors) and AP Art Students are to turn in proposals for a sustained investigation to include idea and thumbnails of ideas, and are required to participate in critiques and current event readings, and discussions to broaden their understanding of art issues in today’s world.
