About Me

Welcome All!

My name is Katie French and I am beyond excited to begin my 8th year of teaching 6th grade ELA at Trask Middle! Wilmington has been my home for most of my life and I actually began my time at Trask as a student. I then went on to attend the University of North Carolina at Wilmington where I earned a bachelors degree in Elementary Education. In my free time I enjoy the beach, cooking, spending time with family, friends, and my sweet dogs, Libby and Miley. I look forward to helping each student grow as a reader this school year and fostering a classroom community where all feel that they belong.
