Hello! My name is Jeneen Cleare. I am married with one small boy, three step children, and four step grandchildren. I have been teaching dance at Snipes Academy for nine years.
I began teaching after extensive classical training and additional training in a wide variety of cultural dances. While performing as a professional modern dancer I started teaching in after-school programs such as with the Police Athletic League in Brooklyn, New York. After obtaining certification to teach in NYC public schools I worked for one year at PS 167 and soon moved to the Burgaw, N.C. area to be closer to family. I taught Theatre Arts at Burgaw Elementary for three years. Next, I danced with the Forward Motion Dance company of Wilmington N.C., choreographed for the Wilmington Ballet Company, and taught studio classes at the Wilmington School of Ballet. I have also taught Zumba classes and at DREAMS. Teaching at SNIPES ACADEMY has been the most rewarding of all.
