Our Current Math Focus:
Module 4- Foundations for Fraction Operations
In this module, students learn to rename fractions greater than one as mixed numbers. They generate equivalent fractions, compare fractions with unlike units, and add and subtract fractions and mixed numbers with like units. Additionally, students multiply fractions and mixed numbers by whole numbers.

Zearn is aligned with Eureka math. I’ve reset students’ lessons to “Mission 5: Equivalent Fractions” to help them understand and retain key math concepts we are covering in class. Students who complete 2-3 lessons a week will not only see growth in their math scores but also gain a boost in their confidence!
Struggling with multiplication and division facts? MathFactLab is a strategy-focused program designed to help children develop number sense and a solid grasp of basic math facts. Through consistent practice, students achieve fluency and often automaticity. The program is most effective with short sessions of 10-15 minutes, three times a week. Unlike game-based programs, MathFactLab does not use reward tokens; instead, students are motivated by their own progress as they advance through the levels. Mastering multiplication facts is essential for effective problem-solving in 4th grade and beyond!
