Michelle Manis brings with her 33 years of experience working with diverse populations of students. Before moving to Wilmington, NC, in 2006, she worked as a classroom teacher with grades K-2 in Ohio and Minnesota. 

In 2007, she was hired with New Hanover County Schools as a Pre-K Behavior Specialist where she spent 4 years. Mrs Manis taught 3rd grade Bradley Creek and 2nd grade at Murrayville.  She served Murrayville Elementary as the MTSS Coordinator for 6 years.  Mrs. Manis served as the Assistant Principal at Codington Elementary School and Johnson and Howe Pre-K Centers in NHCS before leading CRECC.

Mrs Manis received her undergraduate degree from Kent State University in OH in Early Childhood Education (dual degree - certified birth to 6th grade) and masters in school administration from John Carroll University In OH.
