Welcome back Cougars! I am excited to be starting my 10th year here at Codington. I absolutely love moving and grooving with your students each week, and watching them grow every year!
Prior to teaching in New Hanover County, I was coaching collegiate soccer at Lees-McRae College and Western Carolina. During my time at WCU, I earned my master's in education. I loved the mountains and coaching, but discovered a love of teaching during graduate school.
I moved to Wilmington in 2011 and attended UNCW where I obtained my teaching license. I ran the recreation program and coached for the Wilmington Hammerheads during that time. My first teaching job was at Cedar Grove Middle School in Supply, I taught there for one year before coming to Codington.
When I am not teaching, I am spending time with my family. I have three daughters: Lailey is in 3rd grade here at Codington, Liza is in 1st grade and Lander is 3.5 years old. My husband is also a P.E teacher in NHC at Hoggard High School. We love going to the beach, spending time with friends, swimming, hiking and playing soccer.
