4th and 5th grade students who are identified for AIG services are pulled in a small group for math during the Tier 3 block, which is a school-wide time dedicated to enrichment and intervention. Therefore, no core content is taught in the classroom during this time, so AIG students will not miss any instruction or need to make up any work; AIG is designed to be *different* work, not more work.
AIG instruction will enrich and extend the NC standards that are taught in your child's classroom. The classroom teachers and I work closely to be sure that our instruction is directly aligned and complimentary.
