Spanish 2 is designed to expand on information learned in Spanish 1. Students perform the most basic functions of the language and become familiar with elements of its culture. The emphasis is placed on the development of the four skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing within a given context extending outside of the classroom setting when possible. The content focuses on the students’ lives and experiences, and includes an exposure to everyday customs and lifestyles and those of others. Students acquire insight into how languages and cultures work by comparing the language and culture to their own. Integration of other disciplines is ongoing throughout the course..

About me
I am orignally from New Jersey. I served in the Marine Corps. Afterward I went to college to major in Spanish because I loved the language since middle school. Went to UNCW (BA) and San Diego State University (MA).
I have 3 adult children: Megan, Garrett and Ethan.
I've been teaching Spanish since 2002. I love my job!
I travel over the summer mostly to Spanish Speaking countries but I've been to others. I truly have a global outlook. Some places that I have been include: Korea, Japan, Mexico, Costa Rica, Belize, Ecuador and Spain
I hope that you are able to extract form my classes valuable knowledge that you can use in your daily life. There is no need to travel to another country. The US has wonderful places where you can get a taste of the culture. Last summer, I visited Calle Ocho in La Habana, Florida.
