The North Carolina Standard Course of Study (NCSCOS) defines the appropriate content standards for each grade or proficiency level and each high school course to provide a uniform set of learning standards for every public school in North Carolina. These standards define what students are expected to know and be able to do by the end of each school year or course. 

ELA Standards - At CBES we utilize Wit & Wisdom, Wilson Fundations, and Geodes to make sure our students are learning the NCSCOS.

Mathematics Standards -Eureka Squared is the Math curriculum utilized at CBES to cover all NC Standards. 

Science Standards -NHCS provides each school with Science Kits that are organized by units of study to ensure all standards are covered. Science Kits include reading materials and all the necessary items to create hands on experiences for learning Science. 

Social Studies Standards - Studies Weekly is a digital and paper resource utilized to teach NC SS standards. Studies Weekly's digital platform allows students to read articles and even listen to them! The paper materials are great quality and full color, allowing the students to feel like they're reading a real newspaper.
