About Mrs. Raynor:
I am a New Hanover High School Alumni (Class of '06)
BA in Studio Arts from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
M. Ed. from Grand Canyon University
I am definitely a weird individual and I fully embrace that fact! You may catch me talking about Star Wars any day of the week. I'm married to Coach Raynor (Social Studies teacher, also at New Hanover High School) and am the proud mother of a wonderful baby boy, Lincoln.
I happily greet my students at the door and expect students to want to create every day. My former students know me to be cheerful and loud. Students do not have a problem hearing me in class. My room and desk are not always tidy. I play music every day (and my music ranges from big band classics to Duran Duran to boy bands to musicals, etc... it just depends on my mood). I do not like a completely silent classroom (it's eerie). I best communicate through email.
Keep checking your email and the Canvas course for announements or updates.
Bored at home in between classwork? Check the links at the bottom of this page for some fun art/creative online games (like the color matching game we played in class a few weeks ago), digital museum tours, videos, and resources.
We utilize Artsonia as our digital portfolio platform. Students are responsible for submitting their assessments, progress, and projects to Artsonia.
Parents may receive access to their student's account. From this account, both the parent and student are able to comment, share, and purchase their artwork.
