Some class requirements....
It is the student's responsibility to:
Complete work for the day(s) missed.
Turn in assignments by the due date.
Bring the following to class each day: an independent reading book, a pencil, 3-ring binder, and current assignments. There will be some days that colored pencils will be needed.

Classwork, homework, and projects.....
Work is due on the due date. I do not give homework, but I do expect work to be completed in a timely manner. If students do not finish an assignment in class, they are expected to finish it at home.
Projects have a due date assigned when handed out. Ample time is given to complete projects and several reminders will be given. If a student chooses to not turn in projects on time, points will be deducted each day.
Independent Reading: It is expected that you have a book with you at all times. We will read for 10 minutes at the beginning of each class. You will also read your book if you finish work before others. You may bring a book from home or check out one from the media center.
Grading and work submission: You will be graded on daily reviews, classwork, writing assignments, quizzes, tests, and projects.
20% Classwork activities: These include, but are not limited to, daily reviews, reading journal activities, and writing assignments.
35% Quizzes
45% Tests and projects
