Intermediate Ceramics is the foundation level class for ceramics study in high school. This course introduces and explores the three-dimensional applications of the elements of art and the principles of design, color theory, vocabulary, creative problem solving, and materials application.
Proficient Ceramics is the second level for ceramics study in high school. This course continues the exploration of three-dimensional applications of the elements of art and principles of design. Emphasis will be placed on planning, creating and re-creating based on problem solving and design principles. Students will be expected to evaluate their works and processes in order to reach the next level.
Advanced Ceramics is the final level for ceramics study in high school. This course continues the exploration of three-dimensional applications of the elements of art and the principles of design. This course requires students to be independent and self-directed learners, producers, and evaluators of their craft.
