Your Explorer partners are members of our newly-launched Young Explorer Leadership and Development Program, which is a yearlong opportunity for researchers, conservationists, and storytellers to engage and collaborate during the crucial early years of their careers.
15 Young Explorer Leaders were selected to participate, representing the fields of documentary filmmaking, archaeology, ornithology, conservation, and biology, among others. As part of this program, we’re piloting a one-to-one education + exploration partnership. That’s where you come in!
We hope you will pave the way for future collaborations between Explorers and educators. This partnership will not be controlled or heavily facilitated by National Geographic—we expect you to take this opportunity and run with it, and we will provide only minimal guidance. This is a chance for you to experiment, innovate, and help us discover what’s possible when educators and Explorers connect.
By October 25, 2017, please explore the materials on this website, become familiar with the exciting challenges that will guide your collaboration, and complete the pre-collaboration reflection. Contact Mary Adelaide Brakenridge at mbrakenridge@ngs.org with any questions.
