Georgia's HB 1193 Literacy Initiative provides comprehensive support to districts and schools through a collaborative network of Regional Literacy Coaches and Leadership Literacy Coaches. Regional Literacy Coaches partner with school-based coaches to strengthen classroom literacy practices through job-embedded coaching and evidence-based professional learning. Leadership Literacy Coaches work alongside district and school leaders to build instructional leadership capacity, strengthen literacy systems, and support the implementation of sustainable, evidence-based practices.
Together, these coaching roles foster continuous improvement, build educator capacity, and advance high-quality literacy instruction so every Georgia student has the opportunity to become a successful reader.
