Learning Targets: Our Two Year Focus

• Develop an understanding of current research, reader models, and state standards that inform and drive reading instruction.

• Establish a learning environment (time, structures, resources, and physical and emotional climate) that supports effective reading instruction and student learning.

• Engage in individual and small group instruction to assess, set individual goals, explicitly teach, and provide feedback. 

• Understand and use effective reading assessment practices.
