About the Welcoming friend sessions:

New to NGL? Feel overwhelmed about where to start? Want to know other people?

We are re-open the welcoming session to accompany you with the journey of onboarding the NGL community. 

To use our limited capacity wisely, we invite you to fill in the spreadsheet here if you are planning to join this session. If there’s less than three people, we will cancel the session one day before. Walk-ins are also welcomed if the sign-ups are more than 3.

These 2-hour intensive dips on different topics are offered each month, covering the entire range of what we engage with within NGL, from the most intimate aspects of individual living to grappling with questions about global governance.

These monthly opportunities to learn the NGL framework are the sum total of Miki’s work since 1995 including the co-creative learning that has been happening since NGL came into existence in 2017. 

They were offered by Miki Kashtan until 2025 and now by others within NGL at rotating times, to make them accessible to people in more parts of the world.

-> Observe Team Meetings and find out more about what the teams are doing and their needs

-> Look out for requests in the NGL Noticeboard 'offers and Requests for support' section. You can also observe any meeting that's on the NGL friends calendar unless it's specifically named not open to observers

To know about how to navigate within NGL online community

-> check out the NGL community Noticeboard for what's happening in the NGL for events and team updates

-> NGL Dashboard  This is a list of all NGL teams showing the whole NGL structure. You can look through it and see what teams are currently functioning, and what the overall structure of NGL looks like

To learn about the NGL Framework

-> Observe Team Meetings: any NGL friend can come and observe at most NGL team meetings. If there is a team that you're interested in, please join! This also gives energy to people working in teams. This is also a pathway for moving towards supporting particular teams.

-> Join any coaching call that you can find on the calendar, as an observer
