Early Childhood Special Education Program

Our program includes two fully inclusive classrooms located at the West Union Elementary, made up of students ages 3, 4, & 5 with and without special needs. Our classrooms are a part of the North Fayette Valley District and located in the West Union Elementary. Our hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, from 7:40 am-3:20pm and Wednesday from 7:40 am-2pm . Mornings are free under the state's preschool program funding. Afternoons have a monthly tuition fee. Please no drop offs before *7:40am*.

Our classes follow the Creative Curriculum. Your child will be learning Literacy, Math, Science, Social Studies, The Arts, and Technology through different interest areas including: Blocks, Dramatic Play, Toys and Games, Art, Library, Discovery, Sand and Water, Music and Movement, Cooking, and the Outdoors. 

We will focus on all areas of development including physical, social emotional, cognitive, and language development. We will have a set schedule that will establish a routine that will include chances for large and small group learning for your child. Our daily schedule will be posted in our room and available upon request. Your child will also be exposed to Jolly Phonics songs and actions that help them learn the letter sounds. We will also dig deeper into science topics through units of study on student interests throughout the year.

Our classrooms will be filled with lots of positive praise and encouragement! You can expect to hear at home about things like being a "bucket filler", and "super friend". We will set class rules together, and begin to emphasize what is expected in our classrooms. We will have classroom jobs so each child is able to help out and have ownership in the classroom.
