Hello North Fondy,

I’m quite excited to be coming out of retirement and returning to Oriole Nation! At first I thought perhaps that was too odd a thing to do, but then I looked around and noticed that lots of folks come out of retirement for myriad reasons. I remain hopeful that my favorite band, Rush, does the same! :-)

A bit about me... The past couple of years I have been residing in Progreso, Yucatán, Mexico. It’s a beach town of around 50,000 people. It’s been a great way to hone my Spanish skills and recharge my batteries. The only real work I’ve done has been playing bass in a band with a couple of other expatriots. Progreso is a port of call for a couple of different cruise lines, and we play music in various restaurants, mostly for the cruise ship customers. Prior to this I worked in the special education program at Horace Mann. When I heard about the new position opening up there I had to pursue it. I greatly missed being part of such a stellar team and district. I look forward to working with those of you I already know, and getting to know those of you who are newer to the district.

That’s my wife Tere in the pictures, as well as my stepdaughters, Valentina and Karla. Some of you will remember Karla from her year of studying abroad ar North Fondy.
