Dear Parents and Guardians

I hope you are all well and that the increased restrictions and return to off-campus learning are not being too disruptive. Thank you for bearing with us as we respond to rapidly changing guidance.

It has been fantastic to hear how well the learners have adapted to off-campus learning. The learners and teachers have really shown how learning continues. The Nexus Way is being demonstrated in so many ways.

Relationships: Teachers are providing enjoyable and engaging learning experiences and maintaining professional learning focused relationships with learners while following the normal timetable.

Inclusion: Teachers and learners are supporting one another to learn on line by sharing tips and and information with each other.

Mindsets: Teachers and learners are being creative and open to new possibilities when learning off-campus and making connections between concepts to connect ideas.

Innnovation: Teachers and learners are using research and experience to develop dynamic approaches to learning and are showing learning can continue in any space.

School and education is so much more than text books and final grades. The world is rapidly changing and companies are looking for affective skills not just academic success. Nexus is striving to set young people up on the path for sustainable employment and economic security by helping them develop the skills and attributes needed to adapt and succeed in a dynamic environment. Our teachers create opportunities that empower learners to master these skills and show that they have the behaviours and attitudes to be effective in their personal and professional lives. If you read on you will see some great examples of how confident our learners are and how they put these skills to good use.
