As many of you will be aware we have some road works currently happening in Aljunied Walk impacting entrance to the school at the start of the day. Please allow an extra 5 minutes in the morning if you can to help ease congestion.
Although we are opening our gates at 7:45 to support the learners coming in during this time, please understand this is not a drop off time and children still need supervising - learning spaces are open and teacher supervision starts from 08:00.
Uniform
We have noticed that some learners aren't wearing the correct uniform.
Unfortunately crocs or flip flops/slippers are not suitable footwear for our active school life. The only time we use them are for our Nursery and Kindergarten learners for water play.
We also request you ensure your child is wearing appropriate sneakers or trainers for their PHE lesson.
If your child gets cold during the school day they need to wear a school hoodie. We appreciate in the past there have been supply issues but are delighted to let you know that currently uniform is being delivered 3-5 days from ordering.
Jewellery can unfortunately be a hazard for our younger learners. We respectfully request that all jewellery be saved for out of school. Exceptions are small stud earrings, medical bracelets and items of cultural or religious significance. We request that these items be kept as discrete as possible.
Thank you

Lift Passes
We are receiving an increase in requests for lift passes for learners.
All learners are expected to walk to their learning spaces in the morning. We have staff on duty in the stairwells and the learning spaces to welcome learners and ensure they are all safe.
We recognise there are occasions where learners may need to use the lifts and be excused from physical activities for medical reasons.
If your child needs to be excused from physical activity which would include all PHE, swimming and stair walking, please let us know with an accompanying confirmation from a doctor/medical certificate.
We are also aware some learners will need to be excused from all physical activities (for a limited period of time), due to vaccinations/booster vaccinations, please let us know with a copy of their vaccination confirmation.
Thank you
Primary learners are not encouraged to bring mobile phones, smart watches or electronic devices to school.
Some children bring these devices in order to communicate with parents on their journeys to and from school.
All devices must be given to homeroom teachers at the start of the day. They will be kept in a locked cupboard and returned at the end of the day. If a child needs to contact a parent/guardian during the school day they will be asked to go to Learner Services, where a member of staff will make the call on their behalf.
During this week's Parents' Workshop, Nexus and Victus Asia, our cafeteria operator, hosted 50 Parents to learn about the careful nutritional considerations that are put into the food that is typically served to all our learners. There was a food tasting where parents had the chance to sample a selection from the Daily Specials and weigh in on their thoughts about the food.
If you were not able to attend the workshop, we would also love to hear your thoughts about our Nexus Catering. Please complete the survey below to share your feedback.
