Tanesha Gordon | Founder & Executive Director

Tanesha Gordon founded Next Step Community Advocacy with a passion for strengthening communities and creating meaningful opportunities for individuals and families.

With more than a decade of experience in victim advocacy, criminal justice, social services, and community-based programming, Tanesha has dedicated her career to supporting individuals impacted by violence, trauma, and systemic barriers.

Her professional experience includes working with families of homicide victims, survivors of domestic and sexual violence, justice-involved youth, and individuals navigating significant life challenges. Throughout her career, she has served in both direct-service and leadership roles, developing a deep understanding of the importance of advocacy, prevention, and community partnerships.

Her transition into youth development strengthened her commitment to investing in young people before they encounter circumstances that may limit their opportunities.

Through NSCA, Tanesha is committed to building an organization that responds to community needs, creates accessible opportunities, and empowers individuals and families to move forward with confidence.

Her guiding belief is simple: Every next step matters.
