Second Announcement

This is the second announcement of the SNPSchool2022 to be held at Tohoku University, Sendai, Japan, from October 24th to 28th, 2022 co-hosted by ELPH-Tohoku, J-PARC, RCNP-Osaka, KEK-IINAS-NX, and supported by ASRC JAEA,ANPhA, RIKEN Nishina Center, GP-PU of Tohoku Univ, and related research grants. In view of the situation of COVID-19, the school will be held in a hybrid style with participants in-person at Sendai and ZOOM.

The school provides lectures that cover subjects from basics to the frontiers of strangeness nuclear physics as well as other related fields such as astrophysics, atomic physics, etc. Lecturers are invited both from theoretical or experimental physics, and their materials are prepared to be useful to students and also to researchers who would have wider interests. Confirmed lectures this year are listed below. In addition to the lectures, facility tours will be organized; a real one at ELPH-Tohoku and virtual ones for other facilities.

Confirmed lecturers are:

Yasushi Kino (Tohoku) Theory of Muon Catalyzed Fusion

Fuminori Sakuma (RIKEN) Kaonic nuclei

Kimiko Sekiguchu (Tokyo Inst. Tech) Experimental Study of Three-Nucleon Forces

Denny Sombillo (Philippine) Deep learning in physics - basic

concepts and its application in hadron spectroscopy

Yudai Suwa (Tokyo) Supernova and nuclear physics

Young Researchers’ Session (YRS)

We organize the Young Researchers’ Session (YRS) for those who think themselves as young, such as students, postdocs and so on. Speakers will give a short (a few minutes) presentation.
