The children in room 7 are all familiar with these activities.

mindfulness

Once a day the children in room 7 will be doing a short mindfulness session. This will follow one of the breaks. It is used to calm the mind and body. Mindfulness allows the children to refocus their mind ready for learning.

Children will be swimming daily for 2 weeks straight. It is expected that all children participate and learn how to swim. They need to make sure they have.

  • Swimming togs.

  • Towel

  • Bag to put wet gear in.


They will be taught by the instructors from the swim school.


Athletic weeks: 7 - 10

Athletics

During weeks 7- 10 the children will be learning athletic skills.

  • Sprints

  • Long Jump,

  • High Jump

  • Relays,

  • Soft ball throw.

Our feelings

We are going to be learing about our feelings and how we can express our thoughts, things that trigger them and activities we can do if we feel upset, sad, angry, lonely.

We will learn how to express our needs, wants and feeling as well as to listen to other people and their feelings. Looking at the relationship we have with other people.
