Woodberry Down PGL Trip March 2026

Monday 23rd March 2026

Touchdown! Year 6 have officially arrived and the energy was electric!

We didn't waste a second—bags were dropped, and we headed straight out for our first taste of adventure with trapeze, disc golf and vertical challenge! There have already been so many cheers and 'I did it!' moments!

The 'Great Unpacking' is now in full swing as we settled into our rooms. We’re finished our first epic day the best way possible: gathered around a crackling campfire for songs and roasting marshmallows.

Day 1 has been a total hit. We're fed, we're happy, and we're ready for more! Sweet dreams from the Swindon!

Tuesday 24th March 2026

MORNING

Good morning, everyone! Day 2 here in Swindon for our lovely Year 6! ☀️ We’ve fueled up with a big breakfast and the energy levels are already through the roof.

This morning, we dived straight into Jacob’s Ladder, Disc Golf, Archery and Vertical Challenge! There are lots of nervous giggles, fears tackled huge smiles as we got ready to tackle our first big challenge of the day.

Tuesday 24th March 2026

AFTERNOON

What an incredible afternoon! Year 6 have been absolute superstars at Crate Challenge, Jacob’s Ladder, Sensory Trail and Climbing!

We’ve seen some amazing teamwork, heard plenty of cheers, and maybe witnessed a little bit of mud-splattering along the way! Everyone is doing us proud and pushing themselves to try new things.

Now, we’re off to refuel and get ready for our evening fun. The vibes are 10/10!

Wednesday 25th March 2026

Morning

Good morning! We woke up to a chilly start this morning, but that hasn't slowed us down for a second! We’ve layered up in our woolliest socks and warmest hoodies, ready to embrace the great outdoors.

This morning, we’re keeping the blood pumping with Fencing, Survivor, Rock Climbing and Crate Challenge. The crisp air is actually giving us an extra burst of energy, and the determination on everyone’s faces is amazing to see!

There’s nothing a bit of movement (and maybe a cheeky extra biscuit) can't fix. We’re officially 'adventure-hardened' now! Check back later to see how we’ve conquered the cold!

Wednesday 25th March 2026

Afternoon

What a legendary afternoon! The temperature might have dropped, but our spirits (and sugar levels) are at an all-time high!

We spent the session braving the brisk Swindon air for some epic abseiling, aeroball and fencing! The children showed incredible resilience—honestly, they’re almost professionals.

Then came the moment they’ve all been waiting for: The Shop Visit! There was some very serious mathematical deliberation over which sweets offered the best 'fizz-to-penny' ratio. Let’s just say the local economy is thriving, and there are a lot of very happy faces (and very full pockets)!

We’re heading in now to thaw out, swap stories, and enjoy a cozy evening together. Stay tuned for tomorrow!

Thursday 26th March 2026

Afternoon

Good morning! The Swindon sun has decided to join the party, and it’s a glorious Day 4! The blue skies have given everyone a massive boost as we headed into our most daring morning yet.

We are so incredibly proud of the courage on display today! From the top of the Abseiling tower to the high-speed Zip Line, so many of Year 6 have officially conquered their fears and 'sent it' through the air! There were some nervous wobbles at the top, but the cheers from the ground were loud enough to reach the clouds!

Meanwhile, over at Archery, we have some absolute 'straight arrows' in the making. Move over Robin Hood—Year 6 are hitting bullseyes left, right, and center!

The Vitamin D is flowing, the smiles are wide, and we’re soaking up every second of this beautiful day. See you for the afternoon update!
