Purpose
The purpose of the New Vision PTO is to support and enhance the education of the children at the New Vision Charter School by fostering a spirit of cooperation, and promoting open communication between families and staff of the school.
Meet the Executive Board
Nikol Hamacher President
I have 3 kiddos at New Vision, 5th, 4th, and 2nd grade. I have always loved being apart of the school my children are attending and volunteering where I can. Joining the PTO was an easy decision to make. Supporting the people that are shaping and teaching my children every day, is something I value dearly. I work full time as a Marketing and Onboarding Specialist. All 3 of my kids are getting into extracurricular activities, and I love watching them put their energy and passion into something they love. But in the free time we have, I love to fish, garden, reading, and take the dog for long walks.

Vice President
Being involved in my children’s school community has always been important to me. I originally joined the PTO because I knew there was a lot happening within a charter school, and I wanted to stay connected and informed. Last school year I served as the secretary, and was honored to be voted in as the Vice President this school year. I’m looking forward to helping shape the education, experiences, and resources available to our students while supporting our teachers, staff, and families. I’m a mom of two, my oldest is in 1st grade, and my youngest is 3 and in preschool. Outside of PTO, I work on the Medical Oncology Unit at Poudre Valley Hospital. In my free time, I enjoy reading, baking, gardening, hiking, spending time outdoors, and catching up with friends and family.

Secretary
Hi! I’m Janell, and I’m excited to serve as Secretary for the New Vision Charter School PTO. I’m a mom of two boys and love being involved in our school community and finding ways to make school extra special for our students, teachers, and families.
Outside of PTO, I work in commercial furniture and interior design, where I help create spaces for schools, businesses, and communities throughout Northern Colorado and Wyoming. I love that my work gives me a chance to be creative, organized, and connected to the community — all things I’m excited to bring to the PTO as well!
I’m looking forward to helping with school events, supporting our teachers and staff, connecting with local businesses, and creating fun experiences and memories for our kids. I’m so excited for a great year at New Vision!

Treasurer
Hi! I'm Hannah, and I'm excited to be serving as the Treasurer for the New Vision Charter School PTO! This is my second year on the PTO—I was a board member last year and was honored to be voted onto the Executive Board at the end of the school year.
I originally got involved because, as a working mom, I wanted to find meaningful ways to be active in my daughter's education and more involved with her school. My six-year-old daughter is in 1st grade this year and is a big fan of all things Pokémon!
Outside of PTO, I am the Director of Operations for a local healthcare practice in Northern Colorado. In my free time, I enjoy gardening, reading, and visiting our family in Wyoming. I'm looking forward to another great year and getting to know more of our wonderful New Vision families!
What We Do
Over $65k donated to the school in the 2025-2026 school year!
We accept Teacher Requests throughout the year that help bring additional learning experiences to the classrooms.
We show appreciation to the faculty/staff through gift bags & cards, Parent/Teacher conference dinners, warming gear for drive-line attendants & more.
Fund larger requests from the principals to help the global school such as Write to Learn, playground equipment, tablets for teachers to use during testing, updating library inventory, and in 2024 we helped purchase a new sound system for the stage area! We look forward to funding requests for the 2026-2027 year as well!
PTO is also committed to bringing the community together. We strive to provide no or low cost events, in addition to, fundraisers to bring the school, families and community together.
NVCS was featured in the Reporter Herald in March 2023 for the 12-foot-tall Sierpinski Tetrahedron encompassing 4,096 individual triangular pyramids made entirely out of card stock and glue. PTO was pivotal in purchasing supplies for this project. Way to go Mr. Stolte and the tetrahedron club!
