Your G Suite account
Your login details for your G Suite account are similar to the IT profile you use to access most college systems.
Username: same as college email address
Password: same as college IT profile log in
For example:
G Suite account:
Email: joe.bloggs@newvic.ac.uk
Password: •••••••• (same as college IT profile)
Contact lrc@newvic.ac.uk for your password details.
Sign in
If you have an Android, iOS (Apple) or ChromeOS mobile device,
you can download the free Google Classroom app
Using a desktop / laptop computer, you can sign in using any web browser.
Creating your classrooms
At the Google Classroom homepage, select the + icon at the top of the screen
Select Create class
Name your class.
Inviting your students
Students must use their NewVIc G Suite account to access your Classroom (student number@students.newvic.ac.uk).
At your first session, you should give your students a copy of the How to access your Google Classroom help sheet and tell them your class code.
Your class code is a random password generated automatically when you create a new class. You can find the code under the settings icon in your Classroom.
