Avoid delays! Life often interferes, and last-minute submissions don't work for publications. We have a hard publisher deadline, so please be cognizant of deadlines.

Senior Quote: October 1st – No Exceptions!

Your Sr. quote is a chance to show your best self, so please choose wisely! Submitting your senior quote for the yearbook is easy, but you've got to play by the rules :)

You must submit you quote through School Links. (click here for instructions) No email submissions are allowed.
Quotes that don't follow the guidelines below or don't have a good source link won't make it into the yearbook.
- - Your quote complete with valid URL to verify the quote. It Must be verifiable and appropriate from famous people, artists, authors, movies, etc COntext will be considered during the approval process NO: social media posts, video games, memes, images with sayings, self or made up quotes. Context of quotes will be evaluated for appropriateness.
  - Submit TWO quotes. We'll try to use your first choice, but it must follow the rules and have a valid link to a credible source. Your second quote is a backup, just in case the first one doesn't work out. If neither quote meets the guidelines or has an acceptable source, you won't have a quote in the yearbook. Yearbook adviser/administration can reject quotes . If both quotes are denied, you will NOT be notified, and you will not have a quote in the yearbook
Due Oct 1st NO EXCEPTIONS

So, make sure your quotes are awesome and meet the requirements so you can be featured!

Baby Picture: October 1st – No Exceptions!

Don't miss out on having your adorable baby picture next to your senior portrait in the yearbook! Here's how to send it:

Send it NOW to the yearbook Gmail account. [yearbook@newtown.k12.ct.us]
Attach the picture to your email (don't copy and paste it into the message OR ahare it via Google Drive)
Make sure it's an image file (like a .JPG, not a .PDF).
Do not take a picture of a picture, as the quality may not work for printing. Use an app to scan it instead
Rename your file to: LAST NAME, FIRST NAME BABY (for example: "Smith, John baby"). This helps us match it to you and avoid mix-ups, especially with over 350 seniors submitting!

IMAGES THAT DO NOT HAVE THE CORRECT FILE NAMES WILL NOT BE INCLUDED IN THE YEARBOOK

Senior Siblings & Remember When Photos, Etc.

Want to include your sibling or some fun throwback photos in the yearbook? Here's how:

Senior Siblings: If you have a sibling attending NHS this fall, you can send in a clear, non-blurry photo for them to be considered for these special pages. Email it as an attachment ASAP to the yearbook staff with the subject line: "Senior Siblings." Remember, only current NHS students can be in the yearbook.

"Remember When" Throwbacks: Got some awesome throwback pictures you want to share? Email them to the yearbook email with "Remember When" as the subject.

These senior pages are due to the publisher at the beginning of December.

Our deadlines are NOT flexible, so please be prompt.

SENIOR PORTRAITS

Act fast! Senior formal portrait sessions are limited and time-sensitive. Don't miss your chance to be in the yearbook.

- All senior portraits MUST BE TAKEN by Photography by Roman, our official yearbook photographer.
- All Senior portraits will be taken at the high school.

Portrait Session Dates

- June 30
- July 1, 2, 27, 28, 29
- August 18, 19, 20, 21
- September 22,23

Dress Code

Option 1: A solid button down collared shirt with tie (plain jacket optional)

Option 2: A solid colored long sleeve semi formal/formal top. Black is suggested

Day of your photo

All portraits for the senior section will have a blue background. We will also be requiring the same dress code as we have in the past:

Don't miss out! Yearbook orders start July 1st. If you order by the end of September, you'll get 4 free icons when you personalize your yearbook. Last year, many seniors didn't get a yearbook because they waited too long – make sure that's not you!

The Supplement

The supplement is a separate purchase from the yearbook, but can be ordered when ordering your yearbook. It will be mailed over the summer to the seniors who purchased it and passed out to the underclassmen in the fall. Pages that it typically includes: prom events, spring sports, spring events/activities, graduation and awards.

Personal / Senior Ads: Deadline: Feb 1st

Congratulate your senior or remember your best friends with a personal ad! It's a fantastic way to celebrate their achievements and create a timeless memory. You can design your own ad, or we can design it for you!
