Students need to register for two of the following four courses that can be taken for UCONN/ECE credit and
will satisfy the ENGLISH 1007 Seminar and Studio in Writing and Multimodal Composition course offered
for first year college writing.
UConn Composition Through Current Issues
UConn Modernism and Mythology
UConn Sports Literature
UConn World Literature
We also offer a 1-semester course for UCONN/ECE credit in Communications:
UConn Public Speaking
***We recommend that students will be more successful in CP if they:
Need more frequent support in the writing process
Have 80 or below in Honors or below an 80 on the Honors mid-term
We recommend that students consider moving from CP to Honors if they:
Enjoy challenging texts, have strong writing skills and a solid work ethic
Have a 92 or better in the CP class and a 90 on the CP mid-term
We recommend that students consider moving from Honors to AP if they:
Enjoy challenging texts, have strong writing skills, and are self-motivated; are prepared to commit to summer work
Have a 90 or better in an Honors class and a 90 or better on the Honors mid-term
