The New Jersey State Bar Association sponsors mock Trial. It is a team competition between schools. Each team is provided with a real court case to reenact. Each student is given the opportunity to assume the role of both the plaintiff and the defense. The teams consist of schools in the Sussex County Interscholastic League, with the competition held at the Sussex County Court House in front of a judge. The winning teams in the county move on to compete at the state and national level. It is often the case that the students involved in Mock Trial follow a career in Criminal Justice and/or law.
Members of the National Honor Society are involved in both personal and group service projects. Members have been involved in tutoring, cleaning up the school grounds and the surrounding neighborhood, and participation in many other school and community service activities. Each year an induction ceremony is held for new members who have demonstrated contributions in scholarship, leadership, character, and service. Membership is by invitation; selection is made by the Faculty Council. (See Student/Parent Handbook.)
