How to Be Successful in This Class: Students taking this course will be expected to:
Attend class in compliance with school policy.
Be “On-Time,” which is defined as being seated and ready to work when the bell rings.
Be prepared for class. Your Chromebook should be charged.
Complete all assignments in a timely fashion.
Actively participate in class discussions and assignments.
Chromebook used responsibly. If you are off-task, device may be confiscated
Demonstrate respect for teacher, fellow students, and self, and follow classroom rules.
Demonstrate mastery of curriculum by passing quizzes, tests, assignments and exams.
Take pride in the work you do here. Remember, it’s your name that goes on the top of each assignment, whether the assignment is worth 10 points, or 100 points.
Classroom Rules:
Cell phones go in your assigned cell phone pocket upon entering the room.
Chromebook should be closed, and remain closed, until you are advised to use it.
Computer games are off-limits unless approved by the teacher.
Absolutely no food is allowed in my classroom.
Please do not touch the products or marketing items without permission.
Hall Pass Policy:
There is one hallways pass. Only one student may leave the classroom at a time.
Please do not take the pass during passing time in between classes.
You do not have to "ask" to use the bathroom. However, please do not do so when the teacher is speaking or in the middle of a lesson.
Late Work Policy: Late Work can be defined as a "0" or an "Incomplete" in my PowerSchool gradebook. If you are turning in an assignment that is past due in Google Classroom, but not yet in the PowerSchool, you do not need to follow this procedure.
When turning in late work, please send an EMAIL to me (dgallucci@newtonnj.org). Include, in that email:
Subject
Which block you are in
Exactly which assignment(s) you have submitted to Google Classroom
I will not grade late work unless I receive an email.
Tardy Excused: A “late pass” from another teacher is not a “tardy excused.” If you have to finish a test or a lab, or stay late in the class before mine, for any reason, please see me during classroom passing time BEFORE my class to ask my permission to miss a portion of class. Likewise, if you need to stay in my classroom after the bell into the next block period, you’ll need permission from your next scheduled class to do so.
A late pass from another teacher is considered tardy unexcused
Failure to provide a late pass from another teacher is considered a cut
Exceptions (emergencies etc) are always considered and dealt with on an individual basis
Please do not ask to stay in this class without permission from your next block teacher

Two Days Late: Assignment is no longer accepted
Group presentations are to be delivered on the due date or anytime after the due date as called upon by the teacher. Make-up exams are generally posted on my website.
