Ms. Rose is a native New Yorker, and grew up on Long Island. She moved to Massachusetts for college and settled here after graduation. In her spare time, Ms. Rose enjoys traveling, cooking, skiing, yoga and attending sporting events and Broadway shows.
Currently, Ms. Rose is a first-grade teacher at Horace Mann Elementary School in Newton, MA. Prior to working in Newton, she taught first grade in Boston, MA and preschool in Charlestown, MA. Ms. Rose graduated with her B.A. in Early Childhood Education and Graphic Design from Stonehill College and her M.Ed. in Specialist Teacher of Reading from Lesley University.
As an educator, Ms. Rose's teaching philosophy is to make a difference in the lives of her students as well as in the school community. Further, inspiring students to become life-long learners is of great importance to Ms. Rose. She hopes that her students feel comfortable in the caring, conscientious and welcoming classroom environment she provides and looks forward to the new experiences and challenges that each academic year brings.
