Silicosis is a lung disease caused by the long term (20 years) inhalation of Silica that gets deposited into the lungs. Silica is most frequently seen in mine workers, stone cutters, and other jobs that involve grinding, blasting, polishing, and buffing. Silicosis can cause lung cancer, pulmonary TB, and silicosis.
