Financial Assistance Instructions

NPS Financial Waiver 2026-2027 and Assistance: 

As of 5/1/2026, we have a new financial waiver application form, which has been updated in Aspen and on the NPS website. There are two changes to note on the 2026-2027 application:

City of Newton permission sharing:

If parents/guardians choose to allow NPS to share their eligibility with the City of Newton, the City may extend financial assistance for certain programs. For example, NCE is collaborating with Newton Parks and Recreation so eligible families can enjoy Gath Pool and Crystal Lake this summer at no cost. 

Verification

The Business Office will now randomly sample a small percentage of the NPS financial waiver applications to verify the provided income information. Students who are Directly Certified for school meal eligibility will not be included in this income verification process.
