Hi! My name is Leah Castrovillari, and I am so excited to be your child’s second grade teacher! This will be my 10th year teaching at Franklin and my 14th year in education.
I grew up in Narragansett, Rhode Island, and spent many years in Vermont, where I earned my undergraduate degree in Physical Education from the University of Vermont. I later moved to Boston to complete my Master’s degree in Elementary Education at Lesley University, with a focus on English Language Learners.
I recently got married and now live in Rhode Island with my husband, Derek, and our cat, Pepper Jack—who is sure to make a few appearances in our classroom stories!
A few of my favorite things: spending time with my family, cats, bright colors, exploring new places, going out to eat, and anything involving CHEESE.
I can’t wait to get to know your children and share a wonderful year of learning and fun together!
