Welcome to my technology integration website. My name is Lauren Dietz and I have been an Instructional Technology Specialist in the Newton Public Schools since 2004. Prior to this I was a classroom teacher at the K-2 level for 9 years. I use my skill set and experience to collaborate with classroom teachers to successfully integrate meaningful technology lessons into the curriculum. I earned my BA in Early Childhood Education from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and my MA in Special Education from Hofstra University. I believe that together, teachers and ITS can partner to create innovative standards based technology projects that provide students with opportunities to communicate, collaborate and create; bringing learning and understanding to higher levels. In my free time I enjoy skiing, swimming, reading and traveling with my husband and two sons.
