This picture was taken in 1993 on my first day of Kindergarten.

I was in Ms. Bova's class at the Bradstreet School in North Andover. I remember being excited about getting chocolate milk during snack time. I remember wanting to be able to do everything my older sister did. My favorite books were, "Grandfather Twilight" and "Goodnight Moon". I loved playing with shaving cream, sand, paint or anything messy. I remember making new friends, and feeling like I was a part of a community. I am a Kindergarten teacher so that I can share in, and enhance these transformative experiences for others. I feel lucky that I am able to have a first day of Kindergarten every year!
