Curriculum

Here at Memorial Spaulding, it is a core belief that artists get a diverse curriculum of different arts experiences! This multimedia curriculum is guided by the concepts of building Studio Habits of Mind and also by a philosophy of education that allows all students to experience a rich arts education!

My goal is to provide a space where artists are both celebrated and challenged. We work through concepts of identity, place, imagination and observation. We learn in many different ways and through an array of media.  Each child will have an experience with drawing, painting, photography, printing, collage, clay and mixed media.  Here are some visual samples of what kids will create in each grade level.  Please know we change it up around here….that keeps it interesting for all!
