Hi! I have been an ELL teacher in the Newton Public Schools for nearly 20 years, but before that I taught Spanish as well. When I was a child, I moved with my family to Mexico City as a non-Spanish speaker. After a few years, I was completely bilingual and I still am to this day. Growing up bilingual was a gift that enriched my life, and it lead me to wanting to help other children become multilingual too. I graduated from Boston College with a B.A. in Spanish language and literature, and went on to pursue a M.A. in Second Language Acquisition and my teaching certification at UMASS Boston. I love meeting new kids and learning about their language and culture.
