My name is Kyra Barrett, this is my second year as the school counselor for South Newton Middle School. I work with all grade levels, 6-8 at SNMS. I work closely with administration, teachers, paraprofessionals, and other staff members to ensure are students are doing their very best!

My main role at SNMS is providing and assisting in social-emotional wellness education and support in many different ways. Mainly, I focus specifically through:

-Monthy classroom guidance lessons

-Small group counseling

-Individual student counseling

-Collaboration with teachers, staff, and administration.
