The MA Fashion Studies program at Parsons Paris is the first and only master's program in this field in France, and one of a small handful worldwide combining theory and practice. In this program, you investigate fashion as a cultural phenomenon and realize projects with cultural and creative industry partners, employing a critical perspective on fashion globalization, labor, and sustainability; media and visual communication; fashion curating and heritage; identity, race, class, and gender; and technological innovation. Graduates work in diverse fields including the fashion industry, branding and media, museums, and academia.
The MFA Fashion Design and the Arts program places fashion in a radically new format, rooted in interdisciplinary research methodologies that activate sustainable approaches and collaborative investigations at the intersection of fashion, visual and performing arts, and humanities.
Parsons Paris offers bachelor’s degree programs based on the curriculum of Parsons’ New York campus, but with unique focus areas and learning opportunities rooted in the traditions and innovations of Paris and Europe. You investigate a range of creative tools and methods, building a solid foundation for study and practice in your chosen discipline. You also take liberal arts courses to broaden your abilities as an artist and designer. Instruction is in English, but you can enroll in French language courses, for which you will receive liberal arts credit.
