On the November 8, 2019 celebration, New School Firsts hosted a panel discussion designed to share the experiences of first gen professionals and individuals who had to navigate their careers with limited access to resources. Attendees asked the panelists questions and walked away with limited edition First-Gen Day tote bags! Two lucky students walked away with $50 Amazon gift cards!

For the inaugural event, The New School celebate first-gen students, faculty, and staff all week long! First-Gen Week kicked off with a Faculty/Student Luncheon, followed by a first-gen Career Panel, and culminated in a main event with first -gen students and professionals sharing their #firsts stories.
