Work load:
On average, students reported spending five to six hours per week on learning and activities for this program.
What they say:
Students rated the program as highly useful both professionally and personally, with average scores above 4 out of 5 on a five-point scale.
The vast majority of students rated the mix of participants positively, indicating strong appreciation for the diverse combination of undergraduates, graduates, and continuing education learners. 94.1% of students reported feeling a sense of belonging in the course and almost all students felt that their peers were invested in their learning. Students rated the required workload as "appropriate and manageable."
Walks in NYC:
Several times each semester, I also organize day-long group hikes around Manhattan. The first will take place on September 7, walking the Manhattan Greenway Trail from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Let me know if you'd like to join. These hikes are an opportunity to explore the city together, get to know one another, and discuss class topics in depth.
