Writing Website Resources

In the writing journal I sent home, your children can write stories about personal experiences, focusing on using descriptive details. We will practice using our 5 senses as guides for ideas to add details about as well as answering questions our readers might have about who, what, when, where, why and how from events in our stories. Including two or three of these details in their writing would be a very solid start.

Punctuation

When writing stories, always remember to use punctuation. . ! ?

Make sure to include full sentences and remember to write your steps in sequence from beginning to end. Try using the words first, next, then, after, and last where they make sense in your book.
