What are Curricular Pacing Guides?
Curricular or curriculum pacing guides are an overview and timeline of what will be taught over the course of the current school year. Our curricular pacing guides communicate to our district stakeholders what is being taught in our ELA classrooms to our students at Schaghticoke Middle School. The curricular pacing guides summarize and highlight reading and writing goals for each unit.
The reading and writing learning progressions provide specific information on the specific literacy skills taught in each unit. The curricular pacing guides provide information on when and how many times the Connecticut Core Standards are addressed across each unit and the course of a school year.

ALL Grade Seven Speaking, Listening, Reading, and Writing Connecticut Core Standards are covered by the Units of Study.
